About
Built for the specific way student apartments go wrong
Not a general handyman service that happens to take student bookings. One that knows what a Mission Hill triple looks like in week one, and what the walkthrough looks like in month twelve.
Student housing is a market with its own physics. Everyone moves on the same day. Every apartment is older than the people in it. Every wall is plaster over lath, every window is original, and every lease ends with someone holding a month of your rent and a clipboard.
Meanwhile the actual work is completely ordinary — a bed frame, a curtain rod, a running toilet. It's not hard. It just requires a drill, a van, knowing which anchor to use, and being willing to turn up. Students have none of those things and nobody is selling them at student prices.
So the whole business is built around that gap. Every rate published in advance, because nobody negotiating their first apartment should have to haggle. A discount that applies automatically, because verification forms are just friction with a nicer name. And same-week slots, because the difference between a working shower and a broken one is the difference between a decent semester and a miserable one.
The pitch is simple: you text, we show up, it's fixed. Everything else is just handyman work, done properly, by people who turn up when they said they would.

Four things we won't budge on
Publish the price
Every rate we charge is on the pricing page. A service that won't tell you the price until it's standing in your kitchen is deciding what to charge based on how desperate you look.
Never surge in September
Move-in week is when students have the least leverage and the most urgency. Charging triple for that is taking advantage of a captive market. Our September price is our February price; we just sell out.
Say what we can't do
We're not licensed plumbers or electricians. When a job crosses that line we stop and tell you, before we've charged you for finding out. Being the person who says 'this needs a real electrician' is worth more than one more invoice.
Work that comes apart cleanly
Almost everything we install gets removed in nine months. So we do it in a way that reverses without damage — the right anchor for the wall, original hardware bagged and labelled, and a note of where every hole went.
