Rates are per item and approximate— we confirm the final figure at the door, before any work starts. There's a $75 minimum per visit, so stack two or three jobs into one trip and it stops mattering, which is what most people do.

The things everyone asks
Is the number on the site what I'll actually pay?
It's a close estimate, not a sealed quote. We publish a rate for every item and the site adds them up, which is far more than most trades will tell you before a site visit — but we haven't seen your apartment, so treat it as approximate. Most jobs land on or very near the estimate. Where it moves, it's usually access (a walk-up nobody mentioned), what's behind the wall, or a count that turns out higher than described. We confirm the final figure with you at the door, before any work starts, and we never revise a price after the job is finished.
How fast can you get here?
Two to four days for most jobs. During the Sept 1 move-in rush and the last week of August, we're typically booked two to three weeks out — that's the single most important thing to know about us. If you need something inside 48 hours we can usually make it happen for a 20% priority fee.
Will hanging things cost me my security deposit?
Done properly, no. Small nail holes are generally normal wear and tear, which under Massachusetts law your landlord cannot deduct for. What costs people money is a blown-out anchor hole, adhesive strips that pulled the paint off, or a mount left in the wall at move-out. All three are avoidable, and avoiding them is most of what we're doing when we pick a fastener.
How far off can the estimate be?
For straightforward, well-described jobs — a bed frame, a curtain rod, a running toilet — it's usually spot on. For anything where access or wall construction matters, treat the estimate as a starting point. The more detail you give us at booking (floor, stairs, buzzer, plaster or drywall, how many of each thing) the tighter it gets. If you'd rather have certainty before we roll, send photos and we'll firm it up over text at no charge.
