How it works

You never have to leave a voicemail and hope

The entire process, start to finish, with nothing hidden in the middle of it.

  1. Build the quote yourself

Tick what you need on the booking page and watch an estimate build. Published rates per item, the student discount applied automatically, and a number on screen before you type your name — approximate, and confirmed at the door. If your job comes in under the $75 minimum, stack another task on — that's what everyone does.

  2. Tell us where and when

Address, floor, neighbourhood, a preferred date and a morning or afternoon window. Tell us about the broken buzzer, the three flights of stairs, the roommate letting us in. Every one of those details is the difference between a smooth visit and a wasted trip.

  3. We confirm by text

Usually within a couple of hours, always the same day. You reply to lock it in or tell us a better day. Nothing is charged and nothing is committed until you say yes.

  4. We show up and do the work

Marked van, our own crew, our own tools. We work around your roommates, protect the floors, and take the cardboard and packaging with us when we go.

  5. You look at it, then you pay

Card, Apple Pay, Venmo or Zelle when the job is done and you've actually looked at it. Split it between roommates if you want — just say so and we'll send separate links.

On the day

What comes in the van, and what we need from you

We bring

  • Cordless drill and impact driver with clutch control (so we don't strip your particleboard)
  • Stud finder, laser level, and pin finder for confirming what's actually behind the wall
  • The right anchor for every wall type — toggles, mollies, plaster screws, self-drillers
  • Spackle, sandpaper and the three landlord whites that cover 90% of Boston apartments
  • Drop cloths, moving blankets, a dolly and straps
  • Common parts: flappers, fill valves, aerators, washers, cable clips

You provide

  • Someone over 18 to let us in and be reachable by phone
  • Whatever you bought, on site — the mount, the curtains, the AC unit, the smart lock
  • A rough path to the work area (we'll move furniture, we just need to know)
  • A heads-up about stairs, a broken buzzer, a difficult landlord, or a cat that bolts

We don't do

And we'll tell you before you book, not after we arrive.

  • Anything requiring a plumbing or electrical licence — supply lines, shutoffs, panels, new circuits, gas
  • Structural work, roofing, or anything load-bearing
  • Asbestos, lead paint disturbance, or mould remediation
  • Pest control and full apartment cleans

Lead times

How far ahead should you book?

Two to four days is normal. Three weeks is normal during the rush. We don't raise prices in September, which means the only thing rationing our calendar is the calendar.

Check availability
  • Move-in rush

    Aug 25 – Sep 7

Boston's infamous Sept 1. Slots go 3–4 weeks ahead.

  • Move-out rush

    Aug 20 – Aug 31

Clear-outs, dismounts and hauling. Book before your lease ends, not after.

  • AC season

    May – Jun · Sep – Oct

Units go in when it hits 80°, come out before the first freeze.

Ready when you are

A quote takes about a minute, and nobody calls you unless you ask them to.
