Your bedroom window faces a streetlight, a parking lot, or the Green Line. You have an 8 AM class and you have not slept properly since September.
Off-the-shelf blackout curtains only get you halfway, because most of the light comes in around the edges. The fix is a rod that extends well past the window frame and a return bracket that brings the curtain back to the wall, so there's no gap at the sides.
We install rods into studs or with proper anchors so the whole thing doesn't come down in month two, and we hem to length if the curtains are pooling on the floor.

Questions
Curtains & blackout, specifically
The things people actually ask us on this job.
Why is my room still bright with blackout curtains?
Light leaks around the edges, not through the fabric. A rod that stops at the window frame lets a bright halo in on both sides. Extending the rod 6–8 inches past the frame on each side and using return brackets to close the gap at the wall is what actually makes a room dark.
Can you do it without drilling?
Tension rods inside the window recess work well for lighter curtains and leave zero marks. They can't carry heavy blackout fabric, and they don't solve edge light. We'll tell you which trade-off you're making.
My curtains are way too long.
Extremely common — standard drops are made for 9-foot ceilings. We hem to length on site for $20 per panel, or you can pick a higher rod position and let them break at the floor, which honestly looks better anyway.
